Mustafa Kemal İzzet (born October 31, 1974 in Mile End , London ), especially in England usually called Muzzy Izzet for short , is a former Turkish - English football player.
İzzet is the first Turkish footballer and multiple Turkish record player in English Premier League football history . In his active nine-year Premier League playing career, he played a total of 248 league games, scoring 34 goals and preparing 27 goals . Furthermore, he is a true Leicester City club icon , as İzzet is the current record holder who played the most games for Leicester City in the Premier League.

After Mustafa İzzet moved from Chelsea to Leicester City in 1996 , he became a big crowd favorite because of his playfulness and running ability. İzzet laid the foundation stone for his rise to the top tier of professional football when he played for the Turkish national team against the Swedes at the 2000 European Championships in Belgium and the Netherlands . İzzet won the English League Cup twice with Leicester City in 1997 and 2000 . At the beginning of the 2004/05 season, the midfielder went to Birmingham City on a free transfer . In June 2006 he temporarily ended his career due to a knee injury.

İzzet the son of a Cypriot Turk completed his national team career from 2000 to 2004 and played nine times for the Turkish national soccer team .
