Location of Nörde in Warburg

Nörde is a northern district of Warburg in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Höxter . It is located on the edge of the Egge Mountains and on the western edge of the Warburger Börde in a scenic area.

history

For today's place name Nörde there are the following historical names: Norde, Noerde, Noyrde.

In church terms, Nörde originally belonged to the parish of Ossendorf . In 1430, the Prince-Bishop Dietrich III. the Hardehausen Monastery built one of St. Chapel dedicated to Mary. From 1769, church services were regularly held in Nörde by clergymen from Ossendorf, and from 1896 by a permanent clergyman. In 1930/32 the church from 1863 was replaced by a new building.

A rifle club has existed in Nörde since 1736, a music club since 1919.

On January 1, 1975, Nörde was incorporated into the city of Warburg. The district has 732 inhabitants.

The next motorway junctions are Diemelstadt , Marsberg and Warburg on the A 44 .

Nörde is located on the Hamm – Warburg railway line , which was opened in 1853, and which was crossed under by the Holzminden – Scherfede railway line , which opened in 1876, in Nörde . The latter was shut down on June 2, 1984, and the station on the main line was also dismantled.

Sons and daughters of the place

The baroque master builder Johann Conrad Schlaun was born in Nörde in 1695 . The house where he was born was demolished in 1971.
