Nachtflug is the seventh studio album by the Austrian singer Falco . It was released in 1992. It is the last studio album that Falco released while still alive.

background

The Cadillac Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida (USA), sung about in a song from the album

The album was produced - after the heavy commercial flop of Data de Groove - again by the Dutch producers Bolland & Bolland . They produced eight of the ten tracks on the album. The first single Titanic went high in the charts. Then the album Nachtflug reached number 1 in the Austrian album charts. Furthermore, Dance Mephisto , which could also prove itself in the Austrian charts, was published. In 1993 the promo single Monarchy Now was released in Austria , which was intended for radio airplay.

In 1994 Falco performed with a symphonic orchestra as part of the 800th anniversary of Wiener Neustadt. There he presented the then current songs from the album Nachtflug in a new guise. 14 years later this appearance was released on the DVD for Symphonic .

After the album was released, Falco went on a European tour for the first time in six years. The highlight of the tour was the appearance at the Danube Island Festival in 1993, when it started to rain during the concert and lightning struck the song Nachtflug .

In the video for Titanic the chorus is in English, on the single and on the album in German. Falco tried to reach more English-speaking consumers again and to get back into the US charts.
