(2007)

A best-of album with songs by the Austrian musician Falco (1957–1998)is as high as ever . It was released on Falco's 50th birthday as a double CD album along with the DVD of the same name, which contains a documentary about Falco's life and career.

background

Although numerous best-of albums have been released since 1999, the posthumously released album Verdammt wir Leben was still the last Falco album to appear in the charts for the time being . This changed with the release of this double CD, which made it to number 1 on the Austrian longplay charts in the first week and reached double platinum in a very short time .

The regular version of the album contains 33 tracks . A “Limited Edition” was also offered at the time of publication, which also contains the track “Urban Tropical” (B-side of the Rock-Me-Amadeus single 1985) and a 36-page booklet. The album consists mainly of songs that were released during Falco's lifetime, but also includes some posthumous tracks. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of death, the best-of was republished in 2008. This hardly differs from the original. Only the cover is black.

Booklet

The booklet shows a brief review of Falco's work and contains both a biography and an (incomplete) discography of Hans Hölzel (Falco). It also contains the lyrics to the songs on the double CD with the release date and details of the contributors. Many pictures and newspaper clippings are also included.

Men of the West (2007)

The producer Thorsten Börger, who was also responsible for Out of the Dark , Egoist and Naked , among other things , made a remix of the song Men of the West , which appeared as the original on the album Falco 3 . It can be found as a bonus track on the album.

The single from this remix was not as successful as the album, but was still released on the compilation Bravo Hits 56 . The single made it into the Austrian Top 75 at the beginning of March 2007 and made it to 14th place. In Germany, it made it to 55th place.
