Nadim Jarrar

Nadim Jarrar (* 1980 in Munich ) is a German actor .

Life

Jarrar was born in Munich as the son of a Palestinian and a German. He began as an actor with street theater for the Commedia dell arte group in Munich. In 2005/2006 he played in several productions at the FestSpielHaus in Munich - Neuperlach .

Jarrar completed his acting studies at the Bern University of the Arts (Switzerland) from 2006 to 2010 . In April / May 2010, he played the role of the soldiers in the play for a better world by Roland Schimmelpfennig at Tojo Theater (Theater in the riding hall Bern) in Bern . In 2010 he wrote the play Die Lageristen with Robert Baranowski (»Die reinste Liebeskunst«, 3rd Viesener Theater Spring 2011) and Ralph Engelmann ; with this piece he appeared at the Strip by Strip Festival in Bern and at the Theatertreffen in Priština ( Kosovo ). In 2013 he took part in several theater productions by the Volkstheater collective Heimathafen Neukölln in Berlin . In 2014, together with the director Anina Jendreyko, he developed a play in Abkhazia with young people from Georgia and Abkhazia; The aim was to use the theater to break up the “ frozen conflict ” prevailing there . In summer 2014 he played the cousin in Good Old Jedermann at the Hoftheatertagen Viesen. In 2014/15 he played, again under the direction of Anina Jendreyko, at the Volksbühne Basel in the play Sons ; he played the Palestinian writer Jean, who writes books in German.

In 2014/15 he played the title role in Shakespeare's tragedy Othello at the Walhalla Theater in Wiesbaden . In the 2015/16 season he will appear at the Schlachthaus Theater Bern in the play Kosovo for Dummies "Kosovo for Dummies" by the text author and dramaturge Jeton Neziraj .

Jarrar acted in a few short films . In March 2016, Jarrar was in Lucerne's Tatort: ​​Kleine Prinzen in his first major television role; he played the Arab prince and minister Ali Al-Numi.
