Namibia Post Limited (more commonly the short name NamPost ) is a Namibian public company and the country's national postal company . It is still (as of July 2018) part of the Namibia Post and Telecommunications Holdings .

In February 2010, NamPost, together with its partners DHL Global Mail and DHL Express Namibia (both subsidiaries of DHL ), opened the most modern letter distribution center in Africa. It is the hub for all post to and from southern Africa.

NamPost is divided into the business areas

  • Postal services
    • Philately : Philately plays an important role at NamPost. Internationally, Namibian postage stamps have won numerous awards so far.
    • Mail : Letters and parcels are not delivered in Namibia, but have to be picked up from distribution stations that are set up all over the country. A PO Box ( PO Box ) or the larger Private Bag (private mailbag ) can be rented for a fee . Letters and parcels to these post boxes are addressed numerically, not by name.
    • Post offices and postal agencies ; 130 post offices and agencies in 2010
  • Courier services ; 60 overnight destinations in Namibia (2008)
  • Investments
  • Postbank ( NamPost Savings Bank and Treasury ); with limited options (including no lending)
  • Share trading ( NamPost Financial Brokers ; PostFin )
