The Nantucket Memorial Airport ( IATA: ACK; ICAO: KACK ) is a public airport on the south coast of the island of Nantucket in the US state of Massachusetts . The airport is operated by the municipality of Nantucket, from which it is 5 km to the southeast. It is the second most frequented airport in Massachusetts after Boston-Logan Airport.

Nantucket Airport covers an area of 490 hectares with three runways :
- 06/24: 1921 × 46 m asphalt
- 12/30: 822 × 15 m asphalt
- 15/33: 1219 × 30 m asphalt
Terminals and infrastructure
In 2009 the terminal was expanded for a total of USD 28 million . The airport has eight parking spaces for the Cessna 402 from Cape Air , there are also larger parking spaces for the E190 from Jetblue Airways , the CRJ200 from US Airways and Delta Air Lines , and for the De Havilland DHC-8-200 from United Airlines .
Incidents
- On August 15, 1958, a Northeast Airlines Convair CV-240-2 ( aircraft registration number N90670 ) was flown into the ground 450 meters from the runway threshold of Nantucket Airport with a view of only 200 meters in thick fog. Of the 34 inmates, 25 were killed.
