Nargis Fakhri
Nargis Fakhri (born October 20, 1979 in Queens , New York ) is an American actress and model who works in Bollywood films. In 2004 she appeared on America's Next Top Model and made it to the semifinals. Nargis made her debut with the film Rockstar (2011) opposite Ranbir Kapoor .
Life
Nargis was born in Queens to the Czech mother Marie Fakhri and the Pakistani father Mohammed Fakhri. Her parents divorced when she was six or seven years old. She has a sister named Aliya Fakhri.
Nargis had her first hit with the Bollywood film Rockstar in 2011 and won the Hottest Pair Award with Ranbir Kapoor. This was followed by other films such as Madras Cafe (2013) with John Abraham , an item song in the film Phata Poster Nikhla Hero (2013) with Shahid Kapoor , Main Tera Hero (2014) together with Varun Dhawan and Ileana D'Cruz . She made a dance appearance in Salman Khan's hit film Kick (2014).
