The Narzissenwiese of Băteşti (Romanian: Pajiştea cu Narcise Băteşti ) is a protected area of IUCN category IV on the site of the city Făget in Timiş County , Banat , Romania .
Geographical location
The daffodil meadow of Băteşti is located in the far northeast of the Timiş district, on the area of the village of Băteşti , on the national road DN68A Făget - Margina .

The Băteşti daffodil meadow was declared a nature reserve of national importance by law number 5 of March 6, 2000.
The 20 hectare reserve was placed under nature protection to protect the daffodils ( Narcissus poeticus ), which can be found here alongside the Siberian iris ( Iris sibirica ).
- Legend
Since scientists have no explanation for the phenomenon, the vernacular tries its own way. According to legend, at the time of the Turkish wars, many human souls were lost forever. For each of these lost souls, a daffodil has sprout annually since then. What is astonishing is that the daffodils cannot be cut or transplanted because they wither within 24 hours.
The daffodil meadow of Băteşti attracts many tourists every year.
