The fossil deposit Rădmăneşti (Romanian: Locul fosilifer Rădmăneşti ) is a protected area of IUCN category IV on the site of the town of Bara in Timiş County , Banat , Romania .

The Rădmăneşti fossil site is a paleontological nature reserve from the Tertiary era on the area of the village of Rădmăneşti , in the municipality of Bara. It was declared a nature reserve of national importance by law number 5 of March 6, 2000.
The Rădmănești fossil site, which extends over an area of four hectares, is an IUCN Category IV nature reserve, in the far north of Timiș County, on the border with Arad County , eleven kilometers from Lugoj , on the upper reaches of the Miniș River . In the sedimentary rock of the river course, significant deposits of fossils of molluscs (mussels and snails) from the Tertiary era have been detected. We identified 121 fossil species of molluscs, such as: Brandenburg Synanodonta , Unio procumbens , Uniobielzi , Lymnocardium secans , Lymnocardium scabriusculum , Lymnocardium decorum , Lymnocardium vicinum , banaticum Lymnocardium , Lymnocardium penslii , apertum Lymnocardium , Phyllocardium complanatum , Plagiodacna auingeri , simplex Oseudodactillus , Dreissenomya schroeckingeri , Dreissenomya arcuata , Dreissenomya simplex , Congeria radmanesti , Congeria turgida , Congeria simulans , Congeria Brandenburg , Congeria babatonica cavernosa , Theodoxus radmanesti , Theodoxus crescens , Pyrgula ArchiMedis , Pyrgula incissa , Radix paucispira , Gyraulus varians , Gyraulus micromphalus .
