Rădmănești (Hungarian: Radmanóc ) is a village in Timiș County , Banat , Romania . The village of Rădmăneşti is part of the Bara municipality .

Geographical location

Rădmănești is located in the northeast of Timiș County, near the border with Arad County , 32 kilometers from Lugoj , 50 kilometers from Făget and 79 kilometers from the district capital Timișoara .

history

The first documentary mention comes from 1400 when the manor was owned by Guți ​​Orszagh. In 1440 the estate came into the possession of Mihai Orsyag. Later the land was donated by King Vladislav I to John Hunyadi . In 1607 the settlement came into the possession of Bishop Sava Brancović. The village was deserted during the Turkish occupation. In the records of the Italian historian Marsigli , the village was re-established. On the Josephine land survey of 1717, the place is registered with 22 houses.

A paleontological fossil site Rădmăneşti from the Tertiary was discovered in the area of ​​the village . It was declared a nature reserve of national importance in 2000.
