Great Bustard

The Beba Veche bird reserve was declared a nature reserve of national importance by law number 5 of March 6, 2000. It is located in the far northeast of the Timiș County and extends over an area of ​​2,187 hectares in the area of ​​the village of Pordeanu , near the borders with Hungary and Serbia . The reserve is home to some steppe birds . Especially the great bustard ( Otis tarda ), which is on the IUCN's red list of endangered species , can be found here.
