Synopsis

1st act

The lively and extremely pretty blonde Elle Woods and her friends from the fraternity Delta Nu are looking for a dress for the promised engagement with her boyfriend Warner Huntington III ( O my God ) that evening . Instead of the application she had hoped for, he told her that he was going to part with her because he wanted someone “more serious” for the upcoming training at the law faculty of the renowned Harvard University ( time for something more serious ). Elle, then devastated, decides to fight for him. And she manages in her very own way, together with her Chihuahua Brutus, to be able to start her law studies as well ( what you want ).

With her flashy pink outfit and her, unusual for the institute, unconventional behavior, she immediately stands out from the crowd. And also in the first course of the strict Professor Callahan, she is expelled from the room due to insufficient preparation ( blood in the gills ).

After the lecture Elle meets her ex-boyfriend Warner, who tells her that he is now with a childhood friend, Vivienne Kensington, who is also studying at Harvard ( positive ). Desperate again, she goes to the local hair salon "Hair Affair", where she meets the cheerful beautician Paulette ( Ireland ). There you happened to meet Vivienne, who surprisingly invited Elle to a costume party at which Warner was also present ( Ireland - recapitulation ).

Elle appears there, to her nasty surprise, as the only one in costumes. Embarrassed, she tries to make the best of her situation and asserts herself in a Playboy Bunny outfit against the disapproving looks of her fellow students ( time for something more serious - recapitulation ).

She escapes from the party and meets the down-to-earth lawyer Emmett Forrest, who helps her to rearrange her priorities and bring structure to her everyday student life ( kick in the butt ). With Emmett's help, she manages to get one of four highly coveted internship positions advertised by Professor Callahan for his law firm ( so much better ).

2nd act

The intern's job is to defend fitness queen Brooke Wyndham in the murder trial for her husband ( whip yourself into shape ). Brooke, also a Delta Nu member, is the only one to trust Elle with her alibi ( Delta Nu Nu Nu ). Elle withstands subsequent pressure from the Others to reveal Brooke's alibi. But despite the pressure, Emmett and Elle grow closer. Elle returns the favor with a new suit to give Emmett more confidence ( wear it like a man ).

Paulette also helps Elle with a few skilful tips about Kyle, the new UPS messenger ( Knick und Pop ). But after the first days of trial and Elle's success, an incident occurs with her professor Callahan. Elle then only wants to leave Harvard and Emmett, who confesses his love to her, doesn't seem to be able to stop her ( natural blonde ). But when Elle says goodbye to Paulette, Vivienne reappears in the salon and persuades Elle to stay, because she has realized that there is more to the blonde girl from Malibu than just a doll ( Naturally Blonde - Remix ).

Elle now goes back to court with Emmett's support and manages to convict the real murderer of Brooke's husband, his daughter ( scene ). At the handover of the certificate at the end of the course, Elle gives a speech, Vivienne separates from Warner and Warner tries, now impressed by his ex-girlfriend, to propose to Elle again. Elle refuses, however, and instead asks Emmett to take her as his wife ( Mein Weg / Finale ). Elle has proven to everyone that she has developed from a typical IT girl to a self-confident and trustworthy young woman.
