The Österreichische Staatsdruckerei used intaglio printing and halftone gravure printing as a combination printing . The stamps were printed in sheets of 50 pieces each.

Edition numbers

The circulation figures ranged between 2,700,000 and 5,000,000 pieces per issue.

particularities

A stamp was issued every year from 1984 to 2001, except in 1985, when none were issued. In 1984, 1986 and 1987 two brands were launched.

Market value

The stamps are more valuable in mint condition than used or canceled ones, as there is a large inventory due to frequent everyday use.

As with most postage stamps, the value from the postage stamp catalogs is very much oversubscribed, especially if larger quantities ( kiloware ) are traded. The price in the catalogs can, however, be used as a comparison value between stamps.

As a result of the introduction of the euro , the stamps with schilling values clearly lost their value, as these are no longer valid for postage after a transitional period where an exchange was possible.

When the item is stamped, the price depends very much on the quality and legibility of the stamp (date, place, zip code). Complete sets with beautiful stamps are sold more expensive.
