Nelson Janßen
Nelson Janßen (born October 26, 1990 in Wuppertal ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ) and member of the Bremen Parliament and since August 2019, together with Sophia Leonidakis, Chairman of the Left Party in the Bremen Parliament .

education and profession
Janßen attended school in Haan and has been studying political science in Bremen since graduating from high school.
politics
Janßen joined the party Die Linke in 2009 and held a council mandate in Haan from 2010 to 2014. In the 2015 general election in Bremen , he was given a seat for the Bremerhaven electoral area. He works in the election review court (member), committee for matters relating to ports in the state of Bremen (deputy member), committee for science, media, data protection and freedom of information (deputy member), state advisory board for sport (deputy member), parliamentary advisory board for the metropolitan region Bremen-Oldenburg im Nordwesten eV (member), State Deputation for Environment, Building, Transport, Urban Development, Energy and Agriculture (member) and in the investigation committee to investigate the reasons and the course of the anti-terror operation from February 27th to March 1st 2015 (deputy member).
