Nelson Semperena , full name Nelson Eusebio Semperena González , (born February 19, 1984 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.82 meter tall defensive player Semperena belonged at the beginning of his career from 2002 to the end of 2007 of the team Defensor Sportings , for which he appeared in 90 Primera División games and scored one goal from the 2004 season onwards. Semperena was then active at Central Español until January 2011 . There he scored four goals in 72 first division appearances. He then continued his career at Zamora FC until mid-July 2012 . With the Venezuelans, Semperena played 49 first division games and hit the opposing goal once. In the Copa Libertadores 2012 he was used six times (no goal). In the 2012/13 season, Liverpool Montevideo was his employer. For the club from Montevideo, he played - each without a personal goal - in 13 games of the top Uruguayan league and six matches in the Copa Sudamericana 2012 . In September 2013, the second division Huracán Football Club signed him , in whose ranks he played twelve games (no goal) of the Segunda División in the 2013 Apertura . At the beginning of 2014 he joined the Peruvian club Los Caimanes , for which he completed ten personally goalless matches in the Primera División . In February 2015 he returned to the Huracán Football Club and was used in the 2015 Clausura in 13 second division games. He distinguished himself as a goalscorer three times. In mid-June 2015, he started working for Metropolitanos FC . After 15 first division appearances and one goal, he left the club in early February 2016 and played for Mineros de Guayana from then on . At the Venezuelan first division club from Ciudad Guayana , he has been used 24 times (one goal) in the Primera Division so far (as of July 24, 2017) .

National team

Semperena belonged to the U-17 team of Uruguay , trained by Juan Jacinto Rodríguez , who took part in the U-17 South American Championship in Peru in 2001 and finished in 6th place. In 2003 he was a member of the squad of the Uruguayan U-20 national team at the U-20 South American Championship in 2003 .
