Nemzetiségi Rádió
Nemzetiségi Rádió (German nationality radio ) is one of seven state-owned Hungarian radio stations operated by the company Duna Média (formerly Magyar Rádió ). The station's program is aimed at the minorities living in Hungary in their respective language.
The station is located at Bródy Sándor utca 5–7 in the 8th district of the Hungarian capital Budapest .
history
After Kossuth Rádió , Petőfi Rádió and Bartók Rádió, the Nemzetiségi Rádió was launched in 2007 as the fourth Hungarian radio station under the name MR4-Nemzetiségi adások . The goals of the station include information, entertainment and the transmission of cultural values for all minorities living in Hungary in their mother tongue.
Programs are broadcast in the following languages: Armenian , Bulgarian , German , Greek , Croatian , Polish , Romanian , Russian , Serbian , Slovak , Slovenian , Ukrainian and in the two Roma languages Lovári and Beás .
It is broadcast live daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., after which the broadcasts of the day are repeated. The German-language program includes two hours of broadcasting time each day.
The station's headquarters are in Budapest, with three other editorial offices in the cities of Pécs , Szeged and Miskolc .
The radio station's website provides information on the programs in Hungarian and in the respective native language. There is also the most important news of the Hungarian radio in the languages of the minorities.
The channel's Armenian programming received an award from the country of Armenia as the best medium abroad for preserving Armenian traditions, identity and culture.
