The Neste du Louron is a river in France that runs in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitanie region . It has its source in the Pyrenees , not far from the border with Spain , in the municipality of Loudenvielle . The source is located on the eastern flank of the Pic de l'Abeille summit (3029 m), at an altitude of 2689 meters. The river drains initially to southeast, turns soon but after North to northwest, the landscape traversed Pays d'Aure and ends after 32 kilometers on the northern outskirts of Arreau a right tributary to the nest , which is also the name of the upper reaches Neste d'Aure bears .
