The Nestore is a 42 km long right tributary of the Tiber , into which it flows east of Marsciano . It rises at an altitude of 480 m and flows out at 184 m.

The Nestore rises in the northern municipality of Monteleone d'Orvieto and touches the municipality of Città della Pieve shortly after the source . After a few meters to the north, it reaches the municipality of Piegaro , which it flows through from southwest to northeast. Continuing to the east, it comes to Tavernelle , the largest part of the municipality of Panicale , and then back to the municipality of Piegaro. At Fontignano it reaches the area of Perugia for a few kilometers and then at Castiglione della Valle in the municipality of Marsciano . From here it runs to the south and later to the south-east to flow into the Tiber about 3 km behind Marsciano.
