Neu Golm ( Nowy Chółm in Lower Sorbian ) is a district of Bad Saarow in the Oder-Spree district in Brandenburg .

Neu Golm is located northeast of the community center. The municipality of Langewahl borders the area to the north . This is followed in a clockwise direction by Alt Golm (to Rietz-Neuendorf ), Kunersdorf (an inhabited part of the municipality of Rietz-Neuendorf) and Wilmersdorf , also a part of this municipality. Much of the area is wooded. A residential development extends along the historic village green . In the northwest, Neu Golm borders the Petersdorfer See .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1418 as Golin . In 1490 the spelling Newngolm appeared . In the 19th century, the parish had a church demolished and built a new structure. 1975 opened the only earth station for commercial satellite radio in the GDR , the earth station Neu Golm . It was in operation until 1996. In 1997, the community renovated the former school and set up a home room there.

On December 31, 2002, Neu Golm was incorporated into the Bad Saarow community .
