Location of Neudörfel in Saxony

Neudörfel is a part of the district of Aue belonging to the large district town of Aue-Bad Schlema in the Saxon Ore Mountains district . The formerly independent village was incorporated into Auerhammer in 1920 and together with it in 1930 to Aue and is built on with single and multi-family houses in a quiet residential area.

history

An "old house ufm Schurlwalde", which was mentioned in a document in 1559, formed the origin of the small scattered settlement , which was first referred to in 1573 as Neudorffel . The seven landowners who lived with their families in Neudörfel in 1612 were responsible for growing grain in the Auer Valley. In terms of administrative law, they belonged to the Niederschlema manor in the Zwickau office . The population remained constant until the 18th century. In 1764, six families owned a total of 1¼  hooves per 24 bushels (around 194 hectares). From the middle of the 19th century, the administrative affiliation changed several times. Neudörfel has been a residential area without any notable industry since it was first settled. However, wolframite was mined in a small pit in the 20th century . The pit ( Bergsegen 3 ) closed in 1956.

Because of the location of the settlement on a slope and on the road connecting Aue and Zschorlau , a mill built in 1820 was converted into a summer inn in the 19th century. In 1990 private individuals bought the historic building. After renovation and the completion of an annex for accommodation and a bowling alley, it has since been operated as a Waldfrieden guesthouse and restaurant .

religion

Neudörfel was parish after Neustädtel for centuries . Later the village itself formed a Protestant parish, which has belonged to the Lutheran parish of St. Nicolai since it was incorporated into Aue in 1930 .

In the 1950s, the congregation tried to have its own place of worship in the village, which was only approved by the state in 1959. Instead of a new building, the house of the church, which was no longer needed after the end of the uranium mining in Neustädtel, was moved from Wolfgangmaßen to Auerhammer on Zschorlauer Straße. The wooden building, which comes from Otto Bartning's emergency church program (so-called "Houses of the Church" ), was initially in Oberschlema and was moved to Wolfgangmaßen after the inauguration of the Oberschlema Church of the Resurrection in 1952. It is the only structure of its type that has survived and is used as a church. Service takes place in it every two weeks.

In 1926, an Evangelical Methodist church was founded in Neudörfel, which is parish with the Auer Christ Church . Services take place in both the Christ Church on Thomas-Mann-Straße and the Andreas Chapel on Ricarda-Huch-Straße.

In Neudörfel there is also a New Apostolic parish, whose church in a functional architectural style with a small roof turret is located in Hubertusstrasse.

The regional church community Neudörfel has its own community center in Steinweg.

Juchhöhfelsen

This mountain in the Auer district of Neudörfel is the highest point in the city at 601 m above sea level . In past decades, the rock formation was a popular vantage point, to which a hiking trail along the raft ditch led. In the meantime the trees have completely conquered the rock and the view is no longer there. Tourist boards at the Floßgraben inform that the Juchhöhfelsen consists of andalusite and mica , which were formed when the slate came into contact with rising magma .
