New generation was a German rock band. It was founded in 1976 and dissolved again in 1978.
Band history
The founding members of the band were Petko Datschew, Heinz-Jürgen "Gotte" Gottschalk (* 1948), Axel Donner (formerly Express ), Michael Behm (* 1951, formerly Transit , star combo Meißen and Drei , later Bajazzo ), Hans-Joachim Schweda (* 1952) and Wolfram Kobischke (* 1950). 1977 came Daniel Mischna (* 1955) for Behm and Rainer Oleak (* 1953) for Donner .
Only one year after their dissolution in 1979, Amiga released the band's only long-playing record . In the GDR annual hit parade in 1979 there are several titles from this LP.
When Oleak, Mischna and Schweda founded the band Neumis Rock Circus together with Stefan Schirrmacher and Hans-Joachim Neumann , Kobischke founded the band Kleeblatt and Gottschalk started a solo career, that meant the end of the band.
stylistics
The band's music was slow and subtle compared to other rock bands.
