Neuhaus in the municipality of Möhnesee is a village in the valley of the Heve , a river that feeds the southern hook of the Möhnesee .

Neuhaus is a street village along the only passable road from Stockum to Arnsberg- Breitenbruch. Neuhaus is surrounded by the Arnsberg Forest nature reserve .

The Catholic parishioners of Neuhaus belonged to the parish in Körbecke for decades, but got their own little church in the 1950s. The Sunday Kirchweg of the Neuhauser was previously a laborious one: to set off in the middle of the night, to walk through the Arnsberg forest past the "Hohen Stoss", then down into the Möhnetal and on the northern slope halfway up to Körbecke: go nine kilometers uphill and downhill, and after the same way back to the service.
