Neukirchen is a parish village in the municipality of Hemau in the district of Regensburg in Bavaria . Neukirchen was the seat of the municipality of the same name until 1972 .

history

Neukirchen was a side church of the Hohenschambach parish , which was mentioned for the first time in a deed of gift from Heinrich II on November 1, 1007. The current parish church in Neukirchen dates from 1899, but the tower is early Gothic. The community of Neukirchen came into being with the Bavarian community edict of 1818 and comprised the places Neukirchen, Angern, Oberreiselberg, Rieb and Schneitbügl. On January 1, 1972, the community of Neukirchen was incorporated into Hemau.
