Neuspitzkunnersdorf , also Neudorf, is part of the municipality of Leutersdorf in the district of Görlitz.

Neuspitzkunnersdorf is located in the southern part of the district at the transition between the Neugersdorfer Loess Ridge and the Großschönau basin and hill country in eastern Upper Lusatia . The location extends on the plateau of the tertiary basalt cover. Neuspitzkunnersdorf forms a contiguous settlement area with Josephsdorf and Wiesenthal.
To the north rises the Richterberg (407.3 m above sea level), in the northeast the Oderwitzer Spitzberg (510.1 m above sea level), east the Hofeberg (413 m above sea level), in the south the Pfaffenberg (397.7 m) above sea level) and to the south-west of the Große Stein (471 m above sea level). To the north are the black ponds in the source area of the bleach pond water in a former peat bog. The location is crossed by the state road S 135 from Oberoderwitz to Spitzkunnersdorf, the S 142 runs south from Leutersdorf to Spitzkunnersdorf.

history
After the dissolution of the Wiesenthal works, the Wiesenthal settlement was established in 1790. At the beginning of the 19th century, the owners of the Hainewalde manor , the von Kyaw family, also had the plateau along the Leutersdorfer Weg as far as the Bohemian exclave near Josephsdorf parceled out. In 1805 the new settlement was called "Neudorf".
In the fire bush in the source area of the bleach pond water there were two old peat cuttings, which were listed in the Spitzkunnersdorfer Flurbuch in 1836 as the large and the small peat pond.
A windmill was built on the Pfaffenberg around 1845 and was demolished in 1909. The single standing former windmill house was preserved.
In 1907 a company for damask bed and table linen was founded in Neudorf. Neudorf always belonged as a district to Spitzkunnersdorf and was incorporated together with the latter in 1998 to Leutersdorf.

Townscape
Neuspitzkunnersdorf is a row of houses that was created together with Wiesenthal on an elongated forest hoof. Several half-timbered houses have been preserved in the locality .
