The New Imperial Star was a cruise ship, belonged to Arising International Holdings and last sailed under the flag of St. Vincent and the Grenadines , the home port was Kingstown . The ship was built in 1980 at the Polish shipyard Stocnia Szczecinska in Adolfa Warskiego in Stettin .

Dmitriy Shostakovich

The ship with the hull number B 492/01 was launched on December 29, 1979 at the Polish shipyard Stocnia Szczecinska in Adolfa Warskiego in Stettin . It belongs to the series of seven ships of the Dmitriy Shostakovich class manufactured from 1980 to 1986 . The ship was originally planned as a car ferry , but was never used as such.

In 2000 a renovation with modernization took place. Renovations took place every year.

New Imperial Star

New Imperial Star has a car deck on which passengers can take their cars with them (unloading is not possible while traveling). Before being converted into a cruise ship , the Greek military used it as a troop transport. In October 2015, the ship was arrested in Hong Kong due to defects and then forcibly auctioned.

In September 2016 the ship was renamed New and sailed under the flag of Palau . In October 2016, the New Alang reached for demolition .
