Nezih Ali Boloğlu (born August 4, 1964 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper and today's coach.
Career
Athletic career
Boloğlu played for Yeniköyspor in his youth and was signed by Sarıyer SK in 1983 . There he stayed for three years and two seasons followed for Çarşambaspor . For the 1988/89 season he moved to Gençlerbirliği Ankara in the 2nd division. In his first season for Gençlerbirliği he came to 19 second division games, he was also with Gençlerbirliği second division champion and thus rose to the first division. The following season was Boloğlu's last for Gençlerbirliği. Galatasaray Istanbul signed him before the start of the 1990/91 season.
At Galatasaray, Boloğlu could not get beyond the role of second goalkeeper. He was twice Turkish champion and twice Turkish cup winner. The second half of the 1995/96 season he was loaned to Eskişehirspor . He spent the last two years of his career at Bakırköyspor .
Coaching career
Boloğlu was hired by Fatih Terim in 2002 as the new goalkeeping coach for Galatasaray Istanbul and worked there until May 31, 2011. Half a year later, Boloğlu was at the side of Bülent Korkmaz , goalkeeping coach of Kardemir Karabükspor .
He has been a goalkeeping coach at Antalyaspor since the 2018/19 season .
