Nick Johnson (born December 24, 1985 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was last under contract with Brynäs IF in the Svenska Hockeyligan .

Career

Nick Johnson began his career as a hockey player with the St. Albert Saints, for which he was active from 2002 to 2004 in the Alberta Junior Hockey League . He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2004 in the third round as a total of 67th player by the Pittsburgh Penguins . But first he attended from 2004 to 2008, the Dartmouth College , he parallel in for their team National Collegiate Athletic Association was active before the end of the 2007/08 season, his debut in professional hockey for Pittsburgh's farm team Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins were . By the end of the season he had made two assists in 14 games.

From 2008 Johnson played regularly for Wilkes-Barre / Scranton in the AHL, where he was in the 2009/10 season in parallel in six games for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League on the ice. He scored a goal and gave an assist. On September 29, 2011, the Minnesota Wild selected him from the waiver list after the Pittsburgh Penguins put the winger on the waiver.
