Nico Weinmann

Nico Weinmann (born December 15, 1972 in Heilbronn ) is a German lawyer and politician ( FDP / DVP ). In the state elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2016 , he won a second mandate in the Heilbronn state electoral district .

Life

Nico Weinmann is the third son of the former Mayor of Heilbronn and honorary citizen Manfred Weinmann and his wife Arlyn, an American . In addition to being German, he is also a citizen of the United States .

After graduating from the Robert-Mayer-Gymnasium Heilbronn , Weinmann trained as a banker at the Baden-Württembergische Bank (BW-Bank) in Heilbronn . After graduation, he worked for one and a half years as a customer advisor for BW-Bank in Saxony . In 1995 he started studying law at the University of Konstanz . After the first state examination, he did a legal traineeship at the Heilbronn District Court and at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer . Weinmann has been a licensed attorney and specialist lawyer for criminal law since 2002 . In 2006 he moved his law firm, initially in Neckarsulm , to Heilbronn.

Memberships

Like his father Manfred Weinmann , Nico Weinmann is a member of the Europa-Union Deutschland. He has been chairman of the Heilbronn tourist office since 2013.

politics

Weinmann has been a member of Heilbronn's municipal council since 1999 , initially for the Free Voters (FWV), and from 2006 as chairman of the joint parliamentary group of the FWV and FDP. In 2008 he switched to the FDP. He is (as of 2016) chairman of the Heilbronn FDP city association. In the state elections in 2016, he ran for the FDP in the Heilbronn constituency and achieved a second mandate.

Private

In 2010 Weinmann married his wife, whom he has known since 2003. The couple has a daughter.
