Nicolas Edet (born December 2, 1987 ) is a French cyclist .

Edet achieved the first victory in a race on the international calendar in 2007 on a stage of the Tour du Faso . The next year he finished fourth in the U23 edition of Paris-Tours . In 2009 he finished tenth overall in the Giro della Valle d'Aosta and won a section in the same stage race in 2010. At the road world championship 2009 in Mendrisio he finished 17th in the U23 road race .

At the end of the 2010 season, Edet drove with the Professional Continental Team Cofidis as a stagiaire , with which he received a regular contract from 2011. For this team he won the mountain classification at the Vuelta a España 2013 . His greatest success to date was the overall winner of the Tour du Limousin . He finished the Vuelta a España 2019 in 18th place overall, which was his best position on a Grand Tour to date . At Paris-Nice 2020 he won the mountain classification.
