Nicolas Fink

Nicolas Fink (born September 8, 1976 in Schorndorf ) is a German politician ( SPD ). Fink has been a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg ( MdL ) since January 1, 2019 .

Live and act

After attending grammar school in Plochingen (Abitur 1997) and doing his community service at the Kreisjugendring Esslingen, Nicolas Fink began studying for a degree in administrative management at the University of Public Administration and Finance in Ludwigsburg , graduating in 2002 with a distinction . From 2002 to 2006 he worked as a full-time mayor in Nabern and as permanent general deputy to the mayor of Kirchheim unter Teck . From 2006 to 2018 Fink was full-time mayor of the municipality of Aichwald .

Fink has been a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) since 1999 . For this he sat from 1999 to 2002 in the municipal council of Hochdorf ( Esslingen district ) and was chairman of the local association Hochdorf from 2000 to 2002. Since the municipal elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2009 , he has been a member of the district council of the Esslingen district, where he is, among other things, deputy parliamentary group chairman. In the municipal elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2019 , he was elected to the municipal council of Esslingen am Neckar and has been chairman of the SPD parliamentary group there since November 2019.

In the state elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2016 , Fink was Wolfgang Drexler's second candidate in the Esslingen state electoral district . Drexler moved into the state parliament via the second mandate in the constituency. After 30 years in the state parliament, Drexler resigned his mandate on December 31, 2018. On January 1, 2019, Fink took over the state parliament mandate as a successor in a second mandate. As the spokesman for development policy for the SPD parliamentary group in the state parliament, he is a member of the Committee on Environment, Climate and Energy and the Committee on Europe and International Affairs.
