Eisenman formed into its neo-realist painting from different stylistic and compositional elements of art history, from the Renaissance , about the history painting , to the modern, playful new contemporary statements. Here she ties in with her Italian painter colleague Renato Guttuso (1912–1986). In 1994 and 1995, the artist participated in exhibitions with Rachel Lachowitz (* 1964) and Janine Antoni (* 1964) at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, the New Museum, New York, and the New Wight Gallery in Los Angeles, with the common title "Bad Girls", part. A young American generation of female artists showed feminist positions in which they gave socially critical expressions a sexual-feminist connotation.

At the 1997 Whitney Biennial , she showed “Exploding Whitney”, a large-format wall painting depicting the destroyed museum. In an installation with a drawing, she ironically commented on the subject of art and commerce. In 2007 the Kunsthalle Zürich presented a comprehensive exhibition of the artist's work, which was subsequently shown at Le Plateau (FRAC Ile de France) in Paris.
