Nicole Van den Plas (born October 14, 1943 in Mol ) is a Belgian artist.

Life

From 1961 to 1963 Nicole van den Plas studied at the Rijksnormaal school in Tongeren. Taught at the Rijkmiddelbare school in Balen until 1970 . From 1966 she appeared as a pianist and instant composer with her quartet (with brother Jean van den Plas, cello, friend Edmond Van Lierde, saxophone, Ronnie Dusoir, drums). In 1971 she moved to Frankfurt and became a member of the EMT trio with Alfred Harth and Sven-Åke Johansson . From 1973 to 1978 she studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main with Raimer Jochims and Karl Bohrmann , among others . From 1980 to 2006 she taught at the evening school at the Städelschule.

She lives and works in Frankfurt and Ostend .
