Niedereisenbach is located in the North Palatinate Bergland in the northern municipality and is bordered by the Glan in the south . On site, the Grundbach or Eisenbach flows into this from the left .
history
From 1798 to 1814, when the region was part of the French Republic (until 1804) and then part of the Napoleonic Empire , Niedereisenbach was incorporated into the Canton of Grumbach . From 1817 the community was part of the Principality of Lichtenberg ; In 1817 it was subordinate to the mayor's office of Offenbach and in 1823 to the mayor's office of Grumbach . In 1834 the place Prussia and within this the district of St. Wendel were added.
From 1920 the community belonged to the remaining district of Sankt Wendel-Baumholder and from 1937 to the district of Birkenfeld . After the Second World War , the place became part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate within the French occupation zone . In the course of the first administrative reform in Rhineland-Palatinate , Niedereisenbach was merged with the neighboring Hachenbach on June 7, 1969 to form the new municipality of Glanbrücken . At the same time there was a change to the Kusel district.

Infrastructure
In 1904 the place got a rail connection when the Niedereisenbach-Hachenbach station was opened on the Glantalbahn . Passenger traffic ended in 1985, freight traffic had already come to a standstill before that. The federal highway 420 also runs right through the town .
