Niederholzklau is a district of Freudenberg in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district in North Rhine-Westphalia with around 190 inhabitants.

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1256.

The district has 186 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2016) and is therefore the second smallest district of Freudenberg after Mausbach. It borders the Freudenberg districts of Oberholzklau and Alchen , as well as the Siegen district of Langenholdinghausen . The state road L 564 runs through the village .

The place belonged to the Freudenberg Office as an independent municipality until December 31, 1968 . On January 1, 1969 Niederholzklau became a district of the city of Freudenberg.
