Nienke van Hichtum-prijs

The Nienke van Hichtum-prijs (in the original spelling also shortened to N. v Hichtum-prijs ) is a Dutch literary prize that is awarded every two years to authors of children's books.

This award , named after the Dutch children's book author Nienke van Hichtum (1860–1939), was launched in 1964 by the Jan-Campert-Stichting ( foundation ) and is now endowed with 6,000 euros. For the first time it was awarded to Gertie Evenhuis . Then there was a seven-year break before Tonke Dragt, the next winner, was announced in 1971 . The prize has been awarded every two years since 1973.
