Nik Hartmann (born June 1, 1972 in Burgdorf , bourgeois Dominik-Marc Hartmann , legal resident in Ziefen ) is a Swiss television and radio presenter and producer.

Life

Nik Hartmann grew up in the Emmental and on Lake Zug and lives in Buonas . After dropping out of law studies at the University of Bern , he became a presenter and editor at Radio extraBERN and Radio 24 in 1996 . Today he works for Swiss television and will switch to CH Media on July 1, 2020 .

He started taking a window seat on Swiss television in 2005 , and has hosted the SRF bi de Lüt series since 2007 . He made a name for himself especially with the show Über Stock und Stein , where he hiked through Switzerland with his dog “Jabba” († 2011). In 2019 he hiked with his team and the border collie Oshkosh for 30 days from Vaduz on the Via Alpina to Montreux. Seven episodes were broadcast for the first time on SRF1 from May 2019 under the title SRF bi de Lüt Wunderland Spezial - Via Alpina.

He is the owner of "Hartmann Medienmacher GmbH".

From 2003 to 2009 Nik Hartmann was a permanent member of the hit group “Die Pissnelken”.

From 2009 to 2015 he broadcast for the charity campaign Every Rappen Counts from Radio SRF 3, Swiss television and Swiss Solidarity for six days from a glass radio studio on the Berner Bundesplatz (2009, 2010 and 2015) and Lucerne at Europaplatz (2011, 2012 and 2014). After a two-year break, in 2018 he hosted the last edition of Every Rappen Counts in Lucerne.

Since 2010 he has been committed to the health of people in remote regions of Africa as SolidarMed's ambassador .

Since 2013 he lends the character "Oaken" in the German version of the Disney animated films Frozen by The Walt Disney Company his voice as a quirky shopkeeper.

He is also a member of the Mountain Aid Council of Swiss Mountain Aid and is involved in the Cerebral Foundation committee for people with cerebral impairment.

At the 2010 Swiss Television Award ceremony , Hartmann won the “Star” category. He received the most votes from the audience and is considered the most popular presenter in Switzerland.

In 2016 he won the bronze Swiss journalism award in the “Society” category.

Nik Hartmann is married and has three sons.
