Niklas Andersen (born August 4, 1988 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a former German soccer player . He was under contract with SSVg Velbert until June 2018 .

Birth and childhood

Andersen was born in 1988 in Frankfurt am Main , the son of Norwegian soccer player Jørn Andersen and a French mother ; at the time, Jørn Andersen was playing for German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt . Due to the change of his father, Niklas also grew up in Düsseldorf , Hamburg , again in Frankfurt am Main, Dresden and in Switzerland. When his father returned to Germany as a coach in 2003 and switched to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , Niklas followed his father to the Ruhr area, where the family settled down.

Career

In the club

The defender played in the youth teams of Hamburger SV , Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Schalke 04 . In 2005 he gained a foothold in the A-youth of Rot-Weiss Essen . In the 2007/08 season he made the leap into the first team and was used 26 times in the regional league. Between December 2007 and February 2008 he also completed two short assignments for the German U-20 national team .

For the 2008/09 season he moved to the Bundesliga club Werder Bremen , where he signed a contract until June 30, 2012. There he was part of the regular line-up of the Werder reserve, which played in the third division . By the end of the 2010/11 season he came here to 63 missions, in which he scored two goals. On May 13, 2009 Andersen played his only Bundesliga game when he was substituted on for Frank Baumann in the game at Eintracht Frankfurt when the score was 5-0 in the 77th minute .

After the 2010/11 season, SV Werder Bremen parted ways with Andersen. In the winter break of 2011/12 he moved to the third division Chemnitzer FC , for whom he made three appearances in the second half of the 2011/12 season.

In September 2012, Andersen , who is now studying in Gelsenkirchen , moved to the upper division club SG Wattenscheid 09 . He played his first competitive game on September 19 in a 5-0 victory in the Bochum District Cup against the district division TuS Hattingen . In May 2013 Andersen extended his summer contract prematurely until June 30, 2014. On June 5, 2013 he rose after a 1-1 draw against league rivals TuS Dornberg with SG Wattenscheid 09 as a runner-up in the Oberliga in the Regionalliga West.

In July 2014 he moved to the upper division SSVg Velbert . With the game association, he rose as a champion in the Regionalliga West at the end of the 2014/15 season . A year later the direct relegation followed.

He ended his career for the 2018/19 season.

National team

Niklas Andersen completed two international matches for the German U-20 national team in December 2007 and February 2008 .
