Per Niklas Forsberg (born March 6, 1994 ) is a Swedish biathlete .
Niklas Forsberg starts for Östersund biathlon . He made his international debut at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck . In the sprint he was 29th, in the pursuit race 19th and with Linn Persson , Lotten Sjödén and Mattias Jonsson in the biathlon mixed and with Lotten Sjödén, Jonna Sundling and Marcus Ruus in the biathlon / cross-country skiing mixed relay eight. This was followed by the 2012 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti , where Forsberg was 27th in the individual and 24th in sprint and pursuit. With Victor Olsson and Robert Sjöström he also won the silver medal in the relay race behind the French relay. A year later in Obertilliach the placements were added eleven in individual, 23 in sprint and pursuit and 13 with the relay. In 2014 Forsberg in Presque Isle was 41st of the individual, 16th of the sprint and 17th of the pursuit, in 2015 in Minsk 48th of the individual, 53rd of the sprint, 45th of the pursuit and seventh relay. Shortly before that, Forsberg started in Otepää in the junior races of the 2015 European Biathlon Championships , in which the Swede came in 22nd in the individual, 31st in the sprint and 30th in the pursuit. For the relay race he was appointed to the Swedish men's A team.
At the start of the 2014/15 season , Forsberg contested his first men's IBU Cup races in Beitostølen . In his first sprint races he finished 57th and 58th. In the relay race of the European Championships in 2015, his first appearance with the men at an international championship, he came to the side of Gabriel Stegmayr , Torstein Stenersen and Simon Hallström as the final runner of the Swedish relay tenth place.
