Sven Niklas Heinecker (born June 17, 1984 in Hamburg ) is a former professional German poker player .

Personal

Heinecker comes from Hamburg and attended the Süderelbe high school in the Neugraben-Fischbek district . He later studied at the Philipps University in Marburg . Heinecker lives in London .

Poker career

Heinecker played online under the nickname ragen70 on the Full Tilt Poker platform and was considered one of the best cash game players. Until November 2014, he won there a profit of more than 7.6 million US dollars . From 2006 to 2013 he also took part in renowned live tournaments .

In July 2007, Heinecker was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and took 80th place in the main event for prize money of over 100,000 US dollars. In the WSOP 2011 and 2012 he was in each case at a tournament variant No Limit Hold'em place in the money. Heinecker's greatest success was winning the main event of the GuangDong Asia Millions at the beginning of June 2013 in Macau . For this he prevailed against 70 other players and received a prize of 34.6 million Hong Kong dollars , at that time the equivalent of just under 4.5 million US dollars. After this success he has not yet achieved any further cash placement at a live event.

In total, Heinecker has earned almost 5 million US dollars with poker in live tournaments.
