Nikola Stražičić

Nikola Stražičić (born March 12, 1924 in Babino Polje on Mljet , Yugoslavia (now Croatia ); † August 11, 2018 in Rijeka , Croatia) was a Yugoslav-Croatian marine scientist , transport and regional scientist , founder of marine geography in Croatia and author of around a hundred geographical publications.

He received his doctorate in 1979 from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics at the University of Zagreb . He taught at the marine science faculty of the University of Rijeka as a full professor until his retirement. Stražičić received the Order of the Croatian Morning Star with the image of Ruđer Bošković .
