Nikolai Wiktorowitsch Jakuschow ( Russian: Николай Викторович Якушов , born July 30, 1990 in Nikolajew , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Russian biathlete .

Nikolai Jakuschow lives in Cheboksary and was trained by Yevgenia Mikhailova . He started biathlon in 2007 and has been a member of the Russian national team since 2009. The first international championship was the 2009 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Canmore , where he was 15th in the sprint and 19th in the pursuit, narrowly missed a medal in individual as fourth against Aljaksej Abromchyk and won it with Ivan Pitchuskin and Vladimir Burdinski as third place in the relay . At the Junior World Championships two years later in Nové Město na Moravě he won the bronze medal in the individual behind Simon Desthieux and Benedikt Doll , was 15th in the sprint, eighth in the pursuit and won the silver medal in the relay race with Alexandr Pechonkin , Iwan Krjukow and Dmitri Djuschew behind Germany . This was followed by the 2011 European Biathlon Championships in Ridnaun , where Jakuschow was initially used in the junior races and won the individual title, 26th in the sprint and seventh in the pursuit race. For the relay race, he was appointed to the side of Vyacheslav Akimov , Timofei Lapschin and Viktor Wassiljew in the Russian men's relay , with which he came second as the starting runner behind the German representation. In the further course of the year, the Russian started at the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2011 in Nové Město, where Jakuschow finished sixth in the sprint, behind Iwan Krjukow and Oleksandr Dachno the bronze medal in the pursuit race and in the mixed relay race with Olga Galitsch , Olga Podchufarowa and Dmitriy Dyuschufarowa Title won.

In the 2011/12 season Jakuschow played his last international races in the IBU Cup .

Since July 6, 2012 he has been married to the biathlete Olga Galitsch, now Jakuschowa .
