A previous church was first mentioned in a document in 1526. This burned down in a village fire in 1781. The chapel was built at the end of the 18th century under the direction of Pastor Festus Bischoff, a conventual from Glindfeld Monastery. The single-aisle , two-bay nave with a three-sixth end is vaulted with a loam stacking between ribs and belt arches made of oak. The ribs, which open into a profiled end spigot, and the belt arches end on the sandstone heads of the rectangular wall templates in a rectangular base with a carnation profile . In the corners of the choir there are rounded wall templates thatVaults up into the bend of the mansard roof . The surrounding walls are made of quarry stone up to the wooden main cornice , the window and door frames and the building edges are made of sandstone . The entrance with a segmented lintel and an ornamented keystone is in the west wall. There is a niche above the entrance. The arched windows are provided with smooth keystones. The mansard roof, the turret and the west gable over the main cornice are slated. An eight-sided lantern sits square above the roof turret . The organ stage with a curved parapet stands in front of the west wall. A ladder gives access to the attic from here. The small sacristy on the southwest choir wall was added in the 20th century.
