Nina C. Gabriel

Nina C. Gabriel (born Nina Gawrilowa Tschepischewa , Bulgarian Нина Гаврилова Чепишева ; born May 25, 1972 in Sofia , Bulgaria ) is an Austrian theater actress , director , author and theater director of Bulgarian origin .

Life

Until she was nine years old, she played theater, directed and wrote her first poems. During puberty, she intensified her writing and danced professionally in a Bulgarian folk dance group. During this time she wrote short stories and philosophical poetry.

In September 1989 she fled to Austria with her mother. There she learned the German language. At the age of nineteen she was accepted into the musical class of the Franz Schubert Conservatory . Two years later she got a leading role at the Theater der Jugend von Hubsi Kramar . She continued to take private lessons with Marika Adam and passed the state examination for drama in 1995.

Since then she has played countless leading roles at home and abroad, has directed and has written bilingual plays and poetry. As a director she worked with Gerti Drassl , Stephan Lewetz , Katrin Stuflesser and Benjamin Vanyek, among others . With her partner, the painter Ludwig Drahosch , she deals with Maeutic signs in relation to painting, literature and theater. She was nominated for the Bronze Pinter (Vienna Theater Prize). Nina C. Gabriel and Ludwig Drahosch currently direct the Ateliertheater Reloaded in Vienna.
