Nix zu arrest (Original title: Protéger & servir ) is a French film from the director Éric Lavaine from 2010 with Kad Merad , Clovis Cornillac and Carole Bouquet in the leading roles.

action

Michel Boudriau and Kim Houang have known each other since they were eight years old and grew up together in a church orphanage. But the two have been working for the police for a long time. While Kim is a tight squeeze and constantly borrows a cell phone from her colleagues and lets pens and counterfeit branded goods go with her on the police station, Michel is socially committed and leads anti-drug campaigns in schools and a children's choir.

When the police's performance decrease is due, it is announced that the worst will be transferred. After Michel and Kim did poorly on the tests, Kim manipulated the results so that they were both rated as the best. He leaves Michel in the dark about this. But instead of keeping their job, the district manager wants to promote the two of them and move them to different cities. So it is a good thing that police chief Aude Lettelier chose the two as the best police officers in France to investigate the terrorist attacks and a claim of 15 million euros. But after a turbulent investigation, the two find out that Lettelier was behind the blackmail. When she tries to take Kim hostage, she is finally shot by a special task force. Kim is shot. However, nobody wants the money that Michel has secured back, which is why they split it between them. Kim donates his half to the church.

Reviews

“The chaos cop has a good tradition in France, the country of Inspector Clouseau. Now Clovis Cornillac ('Asterix') and Kad Merad ('Willkommen bei den Sch'tis') try their hand at silly slapstick fun in the style of 'The slightly different cops' and give the monkey comedic sugar as a very unequal pair of investigations that form a swath the destruction sweeps through the country. Éric Lavaine's film was a success in French cinemas and cleverly follows the Merad hit 'Nothing to declare' in Germany. "

“Two police idiots, loads of unbelievable coincidences and a terrorist threat: have you heard? Then you can safely leave this wound-down slapstick comedy on the shelf. Because apart from familiar story elements, the film has nothing to offer. "
