Nnamdi Chidiebere Oduamadi (born October 17, 1990 in Lagos ) is a Nigerian football player on the position of a striker .

Career

Career start at home

Oduamadi began his active career as a football player in his home country Nigeria, where he played football in one of the 14 centers of the Pepsi Football Academy , a youth football institution sponsored by the Peps company. From there he came to Europe in March 2008, where he joined the top Italian club AC Milan , although they only officially signed him in January 2009. Immediately after joining the Primavera team, the Milanese youth team, he played for AC Milan in several junior championship games. By the end of the season Oduamadi had five goals and was the team's top scorer with four goals ahead of Luca Scapuzzi .

For the 2011/12 season Oduamadi was loaned to FC Turin .

First successes in the youth and professional debut

In the 2009/10 season Oduamadi developed into a true goal getter in the U-20 team. In all of the Primavera team's league games, the rather short but fast striker scored 13 goals and was the team's most successful goalscorer. Mainly because of his scoring danger, the team made it to the final of the Coppa Italia Primavera , where especially Oduamadi's strike partner Gianmarco Zigoni shone as a goalscorer and practically single-handedly led the team to the first junior championship since the 1984/85 season. In addition, Simone Verdi , who was also successful as a goalscorer, scored a goal in the 2-0 win in the final second leg. In the league, the team was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the play-offs against the juniors from Sampdoria Genoa after they were six points behind the youngsters from Inter Milan with 54 points from 26 championship games .

After his successes in youth, the native Nigerian made his league game debut for the professional team in the 2010/11 season . After making his team debut on July 26, 2009 in a friendly against local rivals Inter Milan in the USA and then taking part in other professional team development games, he celebrated on September 18, 2010 in a 1-1 home draw against Catania Calcio his competitive debut. The 19-year-old came on the field in the 85th minute for the veteran Filippo Inzaghi .

Before the start of the season, the club management of AC Milan and CFC Genoa redefined the transfer rights of the Nigerian striker. After the Milanese had previously had the entire transfer rights to Oduamadi, these were divided in the course of the negotiation between AC Milan and prospective CFC Genoa after the club from northwest Italy had committed to buy Oduamadi. As part of this contract, the Greek Sokratis , still a defender of the Genoese, was transferred to the Associazione Calcio Milan. In addition to Oduamadi, the transfer rights of Rodney Strasser and Gianmarco Zigoni were divided between the two clubs. Just under a month after negotiating this contract, the Nigerian had the opportunity to move to Genoa on loan in mid-August 2010, which he ultimately failed to do and was still waiting for his professional debut with the Milanese at the time.
