No Good (Start the Dance) is the eighth single release of the British big beat - band The Prodigy . It was released on May 16, 1994 and reached number 4 in the UK charts. The title was the second single of the album Music for the Jilted Generation and especially true in England as one of the biggest Rave - hymns .

Samples

The sample "You're no good for me, I don't need nobody" was taken from the single You're No Good for Me (1987, London Records LONX153) by Kelly Charles . (This is also completely sampled in the 1988 European top ten hit Jack to the Sound of the Underground by Hithouse .) Originally, the frontman of the band Liam Howlett doubted the use of the sample because it seemed too poppy to him.

Music video

The video was produced by Walter Stern . The black and white clip is set in an old warehouse, a typical rave location from the 1990s.
