Out of Space was the fifth single released by the English big beat band The Prodigy on November 9, 1992. The single achieved silver in the UK for sales.

Samples

The title track is based on the reggae song Chase the Devil by Max Romeo , which was produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry .

"Critical Beatdown" from the Ultramagnetic MCs was also mixed in, this with the line "Pay close attention, I'll take your brain to another dimension." (German: " Be careful, I'll take your brain into another dimension") ).

Music video

The video clip showed the band in a rural setting with Keith Flint wearing a raver's outfit .

Remix

  • In 1999 Mellow Trax released a first cover version of the song.
  • In 2005 Out of Space was released by Audio Bullys as a remix in the single Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix) / Out of Space (Audio Bullys Remix) .
  • In 2014 the Swiss DJ Mr. Da-Nos published the track Out of Space in collaboration with the singer and rapper Junior-X , the lyrics of which are based on the original.
  • Another version of the track was released in 2014, entitled Sending You Out of Space . This time the DJ duo Crew Cardinal mixed the song in a big room style.
