Norbert Lamla

Norbert Lamla (born August 16, 1950 in Koźle , Poland ) is a German musical actor .

Career

Lamla, who comes from Upper Silesia, received his acting training at the Folkwang University in Essen. After roles in the theater as well as film and television work, Lamla decided to take up vocal training in the mid-1980s. Shortly afterwards, in 1988, he made his breakthrough in the role of Javert in the world premiere of Les Miserables at the Raimund Theater in Vienna . In the following years he sang in the world premieres of Freudiana and Elisabeth at the Theater an der Wien . He had other roles as prison director in The Spider Woman's Kiss and the Disney musical production The Hunchback of Notre Dame , where he was only cast as Frollo due to the short-term cancellation of Steve Barton in the world premiere. In the following years he played the title role of Sweeney Todd at the Staatstheater Mainz and as Dr. Gudden can be seen in Ludwig 2 at the Neuschwanstein Festival Theater . In summer 2011 he was also seen in his star role as Dr Bernhard von Gudden in the new production of Ludwig 2 in the BigBox in Kempten. It is worth mentioning his appearance in the role of Max von Mayerling in the musical Sunset Boulevard , which brought him great success in Germany and Australia in 1995.

Norbert Lamla lives in Dinslaken. He prefers to spend his free time on a farm in Alsace.
