Noriko Higuchi
Noriko Higuchi ( Japanese 樋 口 紀 子 , Higuchi Noriko ; born May 23, 1985 in Kyoto ) is a Japanese marathon runner .
In 2009, she was twelfth in the Kagawa Marugame Half Marathon . The following year she was seventh in Marugame, won the Sendai Half Marathon and came in 29th place at the 2010 World Half Marathon Championships in Nanning.
The following year she made her debut in the Tokyo Marathon over the 42.195 km distance. She crossed the finish line in second place and was subsequently declared the winner after Tatiana Arjasova , who placed first, was disqualified for a doping offense.
In 2012 she finished ninth in Marugame and came 21st in the Nagoya Marathon .
Noriko Higuchi is a graduate of Ritsumeikan University and has been with the Wacoal corporate team since 2008 .
